Ditch the loyalty cards

I like loyalty cards but they take up loads of space in my wallet, give stores all sorts of information about my spending (or lack of it) and generally give me and my wallet a heavy, cluttered feeling. Sad face. Ditch ones you really don’t use or whose rewards are minimal and get yourself the new Stocard app. The app allows you to scan the millions of loyalty cards you have and keep them in one handy app. This is the best app of it’s kind I’ve found. There’s been some feedback about some stores being a bit difficult when customers’ want to spend their points using the app but overall I think it’ definitely worth having. All my cards get filed away now making my wallet a lot less cluttered.

Ditch the Receipts

Receipts are so annoying eh? Pretty archaic in this paperless word. Get into the habit of only keeping receipts for items:

  • you might take back (clothes etc)

  • have a guarantee

unless you’re self employed or religiously track your expenses – trash the receipt. For the receipts you have Evernote Scannable is really great.

Ditch the extra bank accounts

Get rid of any extra bank cards/credit cards/store cards you have lying around in your wallet. Stick to one Personal Bank Account and one Business Bank Account if applicable. You’ll spend less and know where your money is. I can feel my wallet sighing in relief. You can always move to Apple Pay if getting your card out is just that little bit too strenuous for you – tres minimal.

Ditch the huge purse/wallet

Massive purses/wallets make you think you can stuff lots of rubbish in there. In reality, we really only need money, driving licence/health card and your bank card. Not much else counts as essential, even loyalty cards. This ones a beauty !
